The Village has all the features of a classic English village – great places to eat, shops and a pub with a range of ales and lagers. In the village pub -The Goblin and Swallow – is where you can see great songwriters perform close up. This year we have Mark Morriss (The Bluetones), Martin Carr (The Boo Radleys) and Jon Sevink (the Levellers) teaming up with Dan Donnelly (The Wonderstuff). As part of our support of great new music we also have the BBC Introducing Cambridgeshire takeover as well as spoken word and other performers. This year The Goblin and Swallow will be open into the early hours with DJ performances including The Inspiral Carpets and XFM’s Clint Boon plus a old style indie/new set from one of the festival founders which will cover everything from Blondie to Blur.
The food vendors are carefully selected to meet a range of tastes and dietry requirements as well as being top quality – several winning national awards. Our pizza supplier – Hotrocks Pizza – was featured in the Observer Good Food Guide for example. So whatever you fancy there will be quality food a great prices!
