Green Meadows Festival first took place in 2012 and was originally set up with the intention of raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. There is a wide variety of music and activities, featuring established acts and unsigned bands, whilst also showing festivals can be affordable without compromising on facilities and quality. We have donated a total of over £5,500 to the TCT so far.
Money is now raised through the donation buckets spread around the site – so please give generously!! Every year the festival has grown, with better acts, facilities and children’s activities. 2017 will be our best year yet. Come and join in!

Saturday will again be fancy dress day. This years theme will be announced shortly but when it is, get creative and participate in the popular fancy dress parade.
BARS AND STALLS
The bars at the festival serve cold beer, cocktails and real ales at very reasonable prices. Beer starts at £3.50 a pint so there is no need to bring your own – and remember by buying from the bars you support the long term future of your festival! You are allowed to bring as much alcohol as you like into the campsites, but only alcohol purchased at the bars can be drunk at the stages. The food stalls are all selected for quality and again make a contribution to the festival so please use them!
This year again we have negotiated hard and absorbed some of the costs ourselves to keep the booking fee low and ensure the ticket is still amazing value. Remember we sold out last year so the only way to get in is to get a ticket!
The festival is run with the help of an army of volunteers. We are always keen to hear from people with the enthusiasm to help out and get involved. We love hearing from performers of all kinds, potential stewards, litter pickers or just anyone who feels they have something to offer.

We have added to the facilities for the camping areas this year with additional flushing toilets, festival toilets and more water points. The family camping area will be the perfect spot to help children get a good nights sleep after a full day of activities and be surrounded by like minded families. A space in the area is completely free with a weekend ticket but to help us manage the area, capacity is limited. So don’t forget to grab a family camping ticket (one for each family/tent) to book your place.
SECURITY AND SAFETY
We believe everyone should have a safe and fun festival and are lucky in working with a security team from Festival Security Solutions that believe in the same thing. We don’t believe in having lots of rules apart from as a festival we are a community who should respect and care for each other.
- No amplified music should be played in the family camping area after 6pm and in other camping areas after 11pm
- Anything that endangers others is prohibited, obviously including drugs, fireworks, Chinese lanterns and weapons. People caught using or selling drugs/legal highs will be ejected and reported to police
- No Animals allowed anywhere on the festival site, this includes in cars, campervans or tents. Anyone bringing a dog or other pet (Guide dogs excepted) to the site will be refused admission and asked to leave.
Otherwise please follow any directions from stewards or the security team. They are here to help! Entrance and exit Doors open at 12pm on Friday and 10am Saturday. They close at 10pm all three nights, however you can leave at any time. Please be considerate and drive slowly and quietly through the villages. There will be taxis available to take locals home.
